Ok guys im sorry for this extremely irritated tone of voice but i am @($*@$** SO MAD RIGHT NOW. This has been driving me completely crazy for the past 30 minutes. I CAN NOT DELETE A ****ED FOLDER.

I just bought Zone Alarm Suite (the newest one). Although, i still have NORTON 360 On my computer and it WILL NOT LET ME DELETE THE FOLDER.

It says i dont have permission to delete it . *** I HAVE PERMISSION IM ON ADMINISTRATOR. I cant even move it to desktop THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE

(again sorry for the tone of voice but im about to smash my computer just cause of this STUPID LITTLE THING)

    HELP ME DELETE IT

    please and thank you

Boot into safe mode and delete the folder. If necessary, take ownership of the folder.

1st uninstall norton using the program removal tool. then run cc cleaner to clean the registry. reboot and delete any left over folders.

Try Norton removal tool, download the latest version of Norton removal tool from symantec website, and run it, it will remove all the traces of Norton products left in your PC tho you removed from add/remove programs.

if you want to delete the folders those are locked use the free software called Unlocker it will delete the folders which have been locked. you can download unlocker from here http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

    hope it helps u :)

For regaining permissions on many "locked" folders/files, you can also use the Win utility cacls, which allows you to set permissions on files and to take ownership of them.

The underlying problem (and I admit that it is an infuriating one) is that even if you're an administrator, certain files that run under the system user are protected even against an administrator.
