Was wondering what people do on their laptops when there's no wifi available. I live in a fairly wired city (SF) but find that since one of my favorite cafes closed I'm finding that i'm without wifi most of the time. I guess Google and Earthlink are in the process of remedying the situation, but in the meantime...

Do people use IE's offline mode? Outlook? Slurp/crawling tools? Just avoid the internet?

Or is this simply not a problem for most people (i.e., wifi is always available)?

Well, I did profile that webaroo software a while back, you might be interested in that. Otherwise, I think most suck it up or use a phone or whatnot. You can always pay for WiFi at Starbucks.
