    Hey everyone,

Is it me, or does the office 2007 colors look different that 2003 (like, text color)? The blue in 2007 does seem to be the same as the 2003 "standard" version that we see everywhere else. Any way to restore it back or something??

    Thanks!

You cannot change the GUI back to the "old" style, but you can change the colors to blue, silver, or black.

Greg is correct. If you go click the Office log at the top left, you'll see an option that reads 'Excel Options.' Click on that and you can adjust all of Excels features, including colors and the way it handles formulas and all that. Also, you can hide the ribbon if you want by right-clicking and choosing 'minimize ribbon.'

For which the keyboard shortcut is CTRL + F1 (handy when working on long documents in Word 2007 to free up some screen real estate when not fiddling with styles.)

Oh, and that GUI Options page changed your preferences (at least the GUI ones) across all the Office 2007 programs.

I think you might be referring to text colours in particular, rather than the overall colour? In that case, you are correct in noticing the reds, oranges, et. al. don't look quite the same. When changing the font colour, the "Standard Colors" near the bottom of the colour palette includes standard red/orange; you can also select any RGB colour you want from More Colors.

The Page Layout also has a whole bunch of colour themes near the left side of the ribbon; unfortunately there is no "Office 97-03" one. Though it wouldn't surprise me if you could find one online.

yes, i am referring to the text color. Even the standard blue isn't really what every site i know. I was just wondering if we could revert back to the office 03 colors. (Blue really bothers me, only thing I see original is red :(
