I've been using MS Office 2007 since beta 2, its been working great until about two weeks ago. Anyways, I cant add page numbers to my documents anymore. When I click page number it just brings Word into the background and makes that ding noise. When I go back to it I cant see any of the page number options. Instead it just says "Save Selection as Page Number (Top)".

I have no idea whats wrong and its annoying as anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Word by itself. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the whole Office Suite, that didn't work and just wasted my time. I'm using Office 2007 Professional with a legal key.

Anybody super at the new Office?

What do you have your Header and Footer set as in your Page Setup?

It seems there something happened that create software conflicts or could be corrupt system file. Did you install any new software or make changes in system files lately? That could be the problem.

And do you turn on automatic update for microsoft products? It is worth to download any of Office updates to the system.

Not that I can remember, I check the updates and it is up to date. Hm... I have no idea what it wrong, usually reinstalling helps stuff like this.

My header and footer settings are the defaults.
