Just curious, my new XPS410 Desktop arrives today and it will be my first go around with Windows Vista (premium). Just wondering what you all thought about it after using XP. Good, bad, ugly??

    Thanks

Pretty much every single thread in this Software category is about Vista. People have, so far, not been shy about expressing their opinions. Also, search is your friend :)

It's a more user friendly OS compared to XP once you get used to it, but currently does have a number of compatibility and performance issues (caused by those incompatibilities).

It takes several more clicks to change desktop view settings (compared to XP). DPI can no longer be scaled below 100% (unlike with XP).

    1. If you don't have a decently equipped system it will run sluggishly.
    2. You have to relearn the OS if your used to XP.
    3. Games don't run as well as they do on XP.
    4. It is way overpriced.

Other than that, thats about it.

You definitely posted in the right forum, but amongst several other Vista opinion posts. No worries! :)
