    Unmodded Oblivion?
I used the normal launcher and it crashed for my too.
Then used OBSE ( Oblivion Script Extender ) and it worked.
    You should try switching too.

    http://obse.silverlock.org/download/obse_0017.zip
OBSE is used for running and creating more complex mods for Oblivion that require more than the built in commands or variations by my understanding.

To install place contents of folder 0017 in the archive to your Oblivion installation.
    Run using obse_loader.exe

Ok now just a question does your version of Oblivion have some weird double color thing going on? Like it's seperating red and blues it seems.

edit:It still refuses to do windowed mode when i'm dual screen also.

edit2:i can't take a screenshot but it looks almost like a 3d movie. Like that kind of video. I have no idea why it's doing this to me.

Ok i think it's something to do with HDR whatever that is or Bloom. When i try to disable those it doesn't work. The game will ONLY PLAY with HDR which i thinhk is the problem with it. NOw that i googled it, it seems that may not be it. :/

    I never had this problem....
Try playing about with the .Ini file but first a backup!
Try setting gamma and color to something different.
