If anyone is using Outlook 07 can you please put it in offline mode, close it and re open it? If you do this will it remain in offine mode when restarted? I just pulled an all nighter migrating to a new email client, and am afraid of what will happen if I launch it and it is online (I am getting away from outlook going to Zoho) Thanks J

I'm using it, but don't know how to put it in offline mode, cuz I only use it for its calendar.
You're just migrating the email, right? Couldn't you just delete the email settings in Outlook to keep it from doing whatever you think it might do? I don't want it for my email, but I do want it to function when sending the occasional email from Windows programs, so I've got it set where only the outgoing server is valid. Outlook cannot pull any emails from my gmail account. It can only send. -
Update:
I just found it. File > Work Offline
Ok, so I select that and it gets a checkmark. Upon closing and reopening, the checkmark is still there. When I uncheck it again then close/reopen, it stays unchecked as well.
Sooo.... yes, whatever mode you put it in should stay until you manually change it. -
for me, in Outlook 2010 offline mode doesn't persist because of my Exchange account settings.
however, a duct tape work around would be to disable your NIC before you launch it again. that way Outlook is forced to go into offline mode as it can't connect to the server at all. -
Thanks for both suggestions, I recreated in Zoho, what i had in outlook. +1 rep for all.
