    OFFICE 2007 Malfunction (Icons)

    Hey guys,

    I was coding in VBA in Excel for a class when I got this sweet error...pic in my sig block ("Catastrophic Error"). I thought my lappy was going to explode or something.

    Long story short my .xlsx file was corrupted beyond repair.

    Now, I am pretty sure this happened in conjunction with this error, but now ALL of my OFFICE 2007 icons pictures are missing, and NONE of my shortcuts work. All document files are still correctly associated with their respective programs (i.e., .xlsx, .docx, .pptx, etc.), BUT, they no longer have the Office icons either. So, every OFFICE icon has been replaced by a vanilla windows default icon.

    Any clue what has happened?

    It looks like you might want to reinstall Office IMHO.

    That's what I was thinking. Just curious if anyone knows the "reason" =P

    Sorry for the double-post, but Installing from the DVD, trying to Change/Repair, & trying to Uninstall ALL fail and return errors.

    So what are my options?

    DOUBLE UPDATE:
    Manual Uninstall & Clean Install got me back in action...
