Does anyone know if there is a way for a remotely authenticated 32-bit OEM vista to be transformed into 64-bit? I'm hoping to get a laptop from MSI but they only have 32 bit vista... and I want 64 bit. There is unlikely to be a code as the reseller has told me that it's remotely authenticated. Any ideas?

You need to completely reinstall Vista in order to have 64-bit Vista; there is no upgrade option as the entire operating system is compiled for the 64-bit architecture.

Sorry I wasn't talking about upgrade options, I was talking about... is there anyway for me to not have to pay again for 64 bit vista if I have OEM remotly authenticated 32 bit vista.

Can't you just call up MSI and ask them to give you a 64bit DVD? I think other manufacturers do this.

Hmm... should I contact MSI directly or do it through the retailer?

huh... I can't seem to use their webform at

    http://www.msi-computer.ca/contact_us.php

I think it's a cookies problem, as I can't even get to that webpage without clearing my cookies, but I can't submit and if I clear my cookies without submitting it tells me my cookies arn't enabled

Any other ideas for contact methods?
