Viewing non-western fonts is a bit of a pain. The most common place, you would want to use non-western fonts is Internet Explorer or any other web browser. I know you can download fonts of different characters, such as Hindi or Japanese, but I don't know where from. I know as soon as you click on a link in IE, a window comes up prompting me to insert a CD whoch i don't have, so I can't get the fonts. I tried the microsoft website, but there is little support fot non-western language packs, and if there is a language pack, it is only for MS word, is there any way I can properly view other characters, possibly for IE. Forgive me if this is an "off the topic" and irrelevent thread but any help would appreciated.  :base:

if you go to control panel/ and regional and language option settings/languages and then check the install eastern asia languages box.

after doing this you can actually set up your keyboard to be able to input another language such as japanese etc. you can switch between japanese and english or whatever

hope this helps, if not i have somemore ideas
