    Hi there

I've just re-installed the OS on my packard bell easynote e6310 and I've got WMP 11, Realplayer 10.5 gold and the K-Lite Codec Pack with the bundled media player.

None of those have sound when I play a recorded DVD, I've downloaded a copy of the trial version of PowerDVD 7 and that has sound.

Is there anyway to correct the problem with the other players?

I'm running XP Home, and my soundcard has all the latest drivers.

Volume muted? Do you have wave turned down by mistake? Correct audio device selected?

Er no I've only got one device, and I've not muted it.

I had it all working before I re-installed XP Home, I did have a full version of PowerDVD 3.0 installed but that had to go when my OS got corrupted, I formatted the drive to make sure.

Unfortunately you need a driver, try looking up free DVD Audio drivers.

Erm ok, I'll give that a go, I did have K-Lite standard code pack with G-spot installed, I wiped it last night because it wasn't doing anything, or so it seems, but I'll download G-spot again and see if that can diagnose the problem.

I did try that but it didn't seem to work, but then I did put my dvd in first and then run G-spot so I'll try it the other way round - run G-spot then insert disc.

    Cheers for the advice :)

Hmm, I have a problem getting GSpot from Divx-Digest.com Our sonicwall won't allow access to the site, is the GSpot there the same as the one with the K-Lite codec pack, if it is I can re-download that and use that?

    :)

Ha never mind, I've just downloaded the K-Lite 3.01 Full Codec Pack and it's cured the problem, I only downloaded the Standard pack before so obvioulsy that didn't do the trick.

Thanx for the adivce anyway guys :)
