I've had my Sony AX570G for less than 2 weeks. Now suddenly after booting up I get this message. Also I get a window (not shown here) warning me that I can't access my ATi video card settings because I am not the administrator, but I am the admin. Can anyone give me some insight on these problems? Thanks

looks like there is a problem with AOL. My advice: Unless you absolutely have to have AOL, get rid of it. There isn't any sense in keeping AOL if you don't use it. If you do use AOL, you might try reinstalling it and seeing if that fixes the error.

As for the ATI problem, do you have multiple accounts on your laptop? Is this happening with an account you created or the admin account?

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I'm using AOL for now temporarily.

EDIT. No, only 1 account, me the admin and the guest account is turned off. Also after rebooting, I am sometimes able to access the Ati card settings, but it's a random thing.

I'd start by removing AOL and re-installing.

hmm, did some searching and i don't think this is the problem but have you ran virus scanner, spyware search etc. Just doing a google, it seemed like alot of buffer overrun errors were due to a virus.

that's a strange problem with ATI settings. I've never had a problem with my ATI settings. You might just need to reinstall the ATI driver or get the latest version.

I'll run a full scan later today. I'm up to date with my Norton files, but they don't do any good unless you scan I suppose. I may just reinstall the factory image and go from there. Thanks everyone
