This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    There is a cool new firefox extension. It is called AllPeers. http://www.allpeers.com/ You can share whatever you want between two people. The connection is secure and there is no limit on what you can transfer. I think this will really help when I need to get some stuff off my desktop but am over at college. LOL Hope you guys like it. :D

    anyway i went to the firefox site and found 2 user rating for 0.
    so i gave up the idea of even trying it

    LOL yes it is a very new program. I haven't had any trouble with it yet. However I am sure the programers need to make fixes to it. It was only released on August 22. :p

    I would prefer an independent certification rather than their opinion. With that aside, this may be an interesting app but I am concern about using a web browser for this type of thing. Seems to me you are re-creating the horrors of ActiveX.

    it is just another flavour from many (skype, yahoo .....)
    users always are being left to be aware - that is what firewall/virus scan are "partly" here for
