Hi! I've been using thunderbird but I wanted to see if mail was any better. Anyways, I've set up my account in mail and I can receive new messages but for some reason, old messages that I've already read before I setup Mail do not show up. Is there a way I can make old messages show up? I remember Thunderbird was able to download all the messages from my inbox but for some reason, Mail can't.

is your email a POP account? if so then there aren't any old messages left of the server because they get downloaded to your computer and deleted off of the server (usually by default). there is an option to leave a copy of the email on the server in thunderbird and mail for a set amount of time.

You'll need to export your Thunderbird mailboxes (stored locally) into Apple's Mail.app, an article in Mozilla's Knowledge Base can be found here.
