    Hello everyone,
I recently updated my Vista computer to SP1 and everything went well except the network icon in the system notification area is gone. I try to go into the settings area to check Network but for some reason it won't let me, it's like faded with no selection box. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you very much!

This happened to me before and after SP1.

A simple restart fixed the issue both times for me.

No I didn't install any programs. I tried restarting my computer and for some reason it's still gone. It's pretty annoying. I wonder what made it do that?

Try shutting it down completely, wait a minute or two, then boot it back up.
