i have an asus ee pc model 1000HA. when i try to boot it up a black screen comes up saying that windows did not start up properly. it gives several boot up options such as safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration, and start windows normally. i have tried all of these and none of them work. all it does is show then windows logo then go back to the black screen. can someone tell me what is going on. this is a brand new computer, 4 months old.

do you have the option to disable the automatic restart?
that sounds like a blue screen that is too quick for you to see, occuring on bootup to the OS. Unfortunately, there are a million reasons why this could be happening but without info from the blue screen, you won't get a real good reason why it is happening and subsequent resolutions.

no it goes straight to the black screen as soon as it starts up. then the blue screen just flashes. what would be the best thing to do?
