Hello, I'm trying get a .mp3 or .wav file to play when I start windows. Now I understand that there are plenty of ways to achieve this such as placing the file in the startup folder or creating a batch file. But I need it to be a little bit more complex than that, and this is where you guys come in.

Essentially what I'm trying to do is get the .mp3 or .wav to play when I log in and have a specific section of the song to play in an infinite loop. So far I've only managed to make it halfway on this I just need a little push in the right direction.

anyone think they can help me out?

    thanks in advance.

Well you could replace the windows login sound with the wav track of your choice.... you will have to manually edit it to make it loop how ever

Sure that might work, would you know how I could go about manually editing it for the loop?

Also would there be a method to terminate the loop just in case?

You might try getting the Windows version of mplayer, creating a .bat that starts minimized and have it contain:

    mplayer yourfile.mp3 -loop 0
