Need help W/ Window7

ok so i really only have two issues know to me right now. one is my fault and the other i think has to do with hardware. so first off, my audio issue. i just upgraded my hp DV5000 laptop from XP to W7. everything seems good except that the upgrade advisor said i dont support aero. yada yada it seems to be workin. anyways i digress the real issue is that my audio no longer works. i cant hear a thing. i tryied updating the driver but i got nothing. any suggjustions??? please help.

finaly i have microsoft office ultimate on my XP machine with the code and everything. so like an idiot i never double checked that i had the code soved on my external harddrive for the Xfer. is there anyway i can locate this product code again? i have know idea where it would be.

What do you mean you tried updating the driver? You downloaded one from HPs website and installed it? Because that is the only thing i can think of.
