Hi
I bought a new HP Pavilion dv2615nr (with AMD Turion64) recently. I forgot my password so reinstalled Vista using a Vista 64 bit Ultimate DVD I had. Installation went fine but it cannot find the network adapter. But the wireless network works fine.
I checked the HP web site but could not find the network adapter driver there. I contacted HP support but they could not fix this issue either. Is there any place I can find the network adapter drivers for this machine? I have spent more than 4 days for this issue, please help.
Thanks,
-
Cant you install the 32 bit os that came with your computer?

Isn't the Ethernet driver inside NVIDIA nForce Chipset Driver package (sp36607.exe) ? When you extract the archive there is a folder called \WinVista64\Ethernet inside it. The driver inf's device description is " NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Driver"

And if you ever forget your password again, there are ways to recover it. For instance, there's an ISO you can download and burn to a CD that loads a special version of linux and runs a password crack on Windows.
