Where can I download older version of IE (IE 6) from Microsoft? I don't want to download from 3rd party websites because I don't trust them. This is for Windows 2K system in which IE6 is the latest version that IE supports.

BTW: I need direct download that I can install offline. So, the one from Windows Update won't cut it.

This site seems to be about what you're asking for, and it indicates it is possible. Note that their link to download the setup package does take you to a Microsoft download link, not their own, so no need to worry about that.

MS is discouraging people from using IE6.
