So here's the deal, I want to put my copy of C&C The First Decade on my external HD and I am wondering if I simply move all of its program files that would be enough so that I could move it back to my laptop and reinstall it.

But looking through the program files it seems like there is no install file, so would I still need to grab the install DVD and reinstall even if I moved the Program files back onto my laptop later?

I know this is kind of a noob question but I wanted to ask it just to be sure.

    Thanks for your help! :)

Copying the program files folder probably wont be enough. There might be some registry entries that point to the install location.
