    Hi,

I have a Samsung x360-34g notebook that came installed with windows vista business and I had downgraded it to the windows xp professional operating system. I would like to pre-order windows 7 home premium and/or windows 7 professional upgrade. I am in a quandary as I do not know which version of windows seven I should order. I am a newbie who would appreciate any advice or suggestions about which version of windows seven would be compatible with my Samsung notebook. Thanks. :)

You should be able to upgrade to either of those two Windows 7 upgrades. The Home Premium upgrade should be just fine for you, unless you need lots of domain connecting features.

True. But if you want the equivalent features in Windows 7 that you have in Vista Business and XP pro you'll need Windows 7 Professional, so make doubly sure you don't need them before changing edition or something you do now may stop working.

Do you know why you have Pro/Business on your machine now?

Also, if you downgrade to home Premium, you'll have to perform a fresh install, whereas with 7 Professional you can just stick the disc in and let it do all the work itself.

Also true. Good point with needing to do a clean install when going from Vista Business to 7 Home Premium; some people prefer the in-place upgrade.
