This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Music Library Read only!?

    I am not sure how this happened but my Music folders are now all read only. I am not able to change this setting. Could Media Monkey cause this to happen? It is really annoying since I finally had all my music organized decently. :p

    I am using Vista Ultimate. It is strange because I am able to uncheck the button that says "Read Only" and then I click apply. However after I close that window and check again it says that read only is applied again. I am wondering if some setting in iTunes, Media Monkey or Floola could have caused this. It is pretty annoying because I can't merge folders together. -_-

    It happens to me too Tim but it's not a problem. Unless you can't make any changes to your music, but for me i can do anything i could do if read only wasn't selected.

    Hmm...well it started working again...weird. :p I was worried that I was going to be locked out of editing my music folders, but it works now.
