Is there a way to pick and choose which UI elements to enlarge when using UI scaling under Control Panel -> Display? It'd be nice to make the fonts bigger without making the already gigantic by default desktop icons any larger, for example. Also, I can see my taskbar just fine as it is, and I don't think title bars are important enough to make any larger either, given the already limited vertical real estate widescreen displays have.

I usually use custom DPI for the fonts. And if you want to make the desktop icons smaller, just click anywhere on the open desktop, hold down the CTRL key and scroll the mouse up or down for the icons size.
