This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Windows TM just doesn't cut it.

    Any other applications that better describe what is going on?

    Graphs? Something more interesting and useful to tell me.

    Try ProcessExplorer on for size. Sysinternals (apparently recently acquired by Microsoft) makes a ton of useful little windows utilities. A really cool thing about their software is that they're all:
    • Free
    • Portable - They run without having to install them, (just download, unzip and run) so you can put them on a CD or USB flash drive for easy access.
    • Small - They're all teensy files. Most of them smaller than 1MB I think.

    Security Task Manager is decent.
