Now if only someone could get me a good link to it, as ATI doesn't not support Acer :(

Actually, for anyone who is not supported by ATI, this link could prove useful - it links to the latest version of Mobility Catalyst :)

    http://www.ati.com/online/mobilecatalyst/

On a side note, what is the advantage of having the latest display adapter driver..? :( Also, CCC doesn't seem to work for me, I run it and it shows the graphic in the middle of my screen as if beginning to load, but then nothing happens... anyone got this solved?

Okay everyone. Here is THE TIP OF THE DAY...download DHmodTool3 from guru3d.com.

What it does is modify the drivers information so it will install on your laptop regardless of what brand it is, as long as it is an Ati card (duh) :D

It is perfectly safe, and all you do is download the latest Radeon Catalyst drivers, not the mobility ones and then follow the instructions.

    Voila you are done.

Now you can keep up to date on the drivers and not have to deal with Ati's laziness.

    Cheers,
    Mike

don't use the modtool just use the link and get the right drivers in the first place, much easier.

Agreed, Mobility 5.13's are quite stable. A worthy upgrade to the 5.11's.
