    Hey guys.
I recently got a new m1210 with vista home premium. I plugged in a mouse from my desktop (logitech wired optical USB etc) into my laptop. It worked fine.

I have a mini, wired optical USB mouse. I tried plugging it into my laptop, expecting it to work like the logitech mouse did, but it doesnt.

No popups come up saying that "the new hardware is found" or anything like that. My computer says that all four of my USB ports are empty.

The 'laser' on the bottom of the mouse is on when it is plugged in, however.

I do not have any CDs or website references to install a driver for this mouse.

My question is how do i get the mini mouse to work?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

if I remember right, some wireless devices (I think logitech wireless keyboard and mice) require you to press a button underneath (the actual keyboard or mouse) to connect them to the computer, this might then trigger the "new hardware found"? I guess it might not apply to all tho..

Do you think if i could find a driver for a wired mini USB mouse online, and installed that onto the laptop then the mouse would work?

Just Google "(Model of mouse) Drivers" and eventually you should find results.
Check you mouse for a Sku/Make number.
