A question on MO 2010 powerpoint:
Whenever I open a powerpoint saved data, it opens with Microsoft Office 2010, not Microsoft Office 2010 Powerpoint. I have to open the new powerpoint, then open the saved powerpoint data. I tried saving the new powerpoint and then open up again to see if it opens with powerpoint, but it doesn't. I tried the "Open with" and "Properties" and selecting powerpoint icon, but it doesn't work. I tried saving it to 97-2003 compatible but no luck. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

No I do not see that. I see that pop up only when I open from Start. As in new power point document. Whenever I open saved powerpoint, it tries to view pictures or something. The saved powerpoint opens as Microsoft Office 2010, not Microsoft Office Powerpoint.

I think we need a screen shot. There is no prgram named "Microsoft Office 2010".

Right click on the PowerPoint, select Open With, then select Microsoft PowerPoint. If it still doesn't work, let me know.

(I know this would have been the obvious option, but meh)

The first one is when I open the saved powerpoint. It tries to view pictures. I don't see the powerpoint loading pop-up.
The second one is when I go to the 'Open With' and 'Properties.' I don't see Powerpoint to open with, and when I find the short cut for powerpoint, it gives me error.
I did try reinstalling. May be because I installed powerpoint viewer before installing the actual Microsoft Office? and I uninstalled powerpoint viewer after installing the actual Microsoft Office.

The saved powerpoint works fine when I open a new powerpoint and then open the saved powerpoint.

The powerpoints are from school lectures. It only saves as the picture manager as you call it. So I find the powerpoint shortcut and try to open. Not save. If I save, it saves as the picture manager. So when I try to open with the shortcut, look at the first picture.
And gives me the error on the second picture.

Yeah, as I said, you need to select PowerPoint. If it isn't in the list, do what Indrek suggested.
