I've recently reinstalled xp on my computer, and got everything working...except I no longer have a "mic Boost" option.

Is there any way i can work around this? Is there an option in Group Policy to enable this?

Or is there something I can download (software) to boost my mic?

I turn it all the way up and I can barely record anything w/o the mic boost.

    +rep for help

Its a Compaq C700. Very similar to HP dv6500t. I've looked at both drivers, but they both are what I already have. Conexant HD audio-venice 5045.

See...when i first got the laptop, it had vista on it. then I installed xp, struggled to find the UABB for the bus, then installed some audio driver for the 97AC codecs or something. I ended up getting Realtek drivers to work. And then I had mic-boost, and all the cool realtek-HD options.

This time, I followed a guide that was made (sometime After I had figured my audio out) and I have the conexant audio, and not as many options as I had before

I've tried installing driver after driver from realtek, but I can't seem to find anything that works.
