The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is it possilbe to put media center on all notebooks? Or just a select few.

    Windows MCE has minimum requirements just like any other program. It is an OS and would be able to be installed on any computer that meets the requirements.

    Like USFDude said, Its possible to put media center on any computer (Unless you have a mac) that meets the requirements. Make sure the notebook you're intending to install it on is above the minimum requirements (cpu | ram | etc. )

    Yes. I was able to install Media Center on my old K6-II 475Mhz. Ran like a champ but was really pointless.

    Also, if you're interested in MC check out the ever impressive Media Portal freeware based on the ever popular XBOX Media Center
