When I try to boot Maya (both 2008-2009) I get this: Fatal Error. Attempting to save in C:/DOCUME~1/Username/LOCALS~1/Temp/username.20081122.1654.ma
I checked forums online but couldnt get it to work...
I am running win XP pro sp3 on bootcamp on my macbook (I read in maya's qualified hardware that they do not support macbooks, but a colleague of mine can run maya on hers...), with Intel dual processors, gma x3100 and 4 gigs rams. I have the latest video driver and I disabled overlay and triple buffering as some people suggested it...
    Someone help me please!?

What did the dump file say? Or was it not able to save it in the temp file indicated in your post? That'll give you the information you need to narrow down the problem - just the file location won't help any.

is she using the a macbook that looks like yours or the new aluminum macbook?

if she has the aluminum one, im guessing its because of your video card.

otherwise, i have no clue. try reinstalling maya.
