I really can't get used to the incredibly bad search feature in Vista. To search for all files above a certain file size limit, I have to search fo rsomething random, then wait for the window to come up, then stop the search, tick "All locations" instead of indexed locations in TWO places, then specify, then start the search again.

This is so frustrating. I was wondering what ways there are of making Vista more like XP.

?? If XP is the one with the bad search functionality, then why would you want to make _Vista more like XP?

    Buy a fast HDD/SSD, 2GB+ RAM and a 2GHz+ Dual-Core CPU.
    Or
Checkout the guides written down by Les and Jisaac.

This, to me, doesn't make sense...

You dislike/have problems with the XP search utility. Ok.

Then you want to "make Vista more like XP" ?? In what respect?

    Just came to mind:
Are you using Vista because of that problem and want it to be moer like XP?

Honestly - a clearer stament would help.

It looks like a typo to me; I think he's complaining about Vista search.

I'm also wondering if you couldn't set it to index larger files too.
Then they would immediately show up.
