Before, when i would turn on my computer, it would go to the user log in screen and since there is only one user name the password box/bar would already be open. But now, i have to click on my name for the box/bar to pop up and enter the password as opposed to just typing it straight in without clicking on my name.

how do i get it be how it was before?

Nah that doesn't alway work sometime. It's due to a microsoft.net framework 1.1 problem. You could either uninstall it. Or do window update. There's a fix for it out already. You could tell i had this problem with a couple of my computer before

If it still does that and you don't want to click, you can use the up arrow ;)

As indicated, this sounds like a .NET problem. Go and get the lastest updates for .NET Framework and it should fix the problem.

Ooohhh i just remember now. In your control panel->user account. There should be an extra account with name something relating to .Net framework. If you delete that account. It fixes the problem. The account seem to show up when viewing in the control panel. But not when computer boot up

Hmm try safemode. If not chance are it's the option in control panel->user account. where you select how user log in. Other than that i'm stump. Because this happended to me. After i did window update adn receive .net framework v1.1 it added a .net account into my user account. Even though it doesn't show up on the login screen i saw it was there in the user account. Other than that I'm pretty stump on your problem. Good luck with the problem
