I just downloaded the pidgin IM software, and really enjoy it so far.

The only problem i seem to have is when somebody sends me a link.. I get an error about not finding it and make sure I hit start and use search to find location.

Is there anyway to fix this? It opens in firefox, but makes the error beep and warning windows me..

    Well guys? :p

It works fine when IE is set as my default browser...

But I like FF.. And it doesn't work when FF is set as my default. :|

    No problems when using opera.

    Strange.

Which version of Firefox are you using? Firefox 3 RC2 or 2.0.0.14? If you are using version 3, it might be a not fixed yet bug from Firefox. And what is written in the error message?

(I like Digsby better than Pidgin)

This sounds as if you're doing something wrong. If the person sends you a website link, and you click it, it'll open in Firefox. Why is windows warning you and making beeps? You're doing something other than that (or did before).

It's something to do with Firefox.

When I set IE or Opera as my default internet browser. The links open perfectly normal in the browser without any hitch.

When firefox is my default internet browser. It opens in firefox, but I also get an extremely annoying sound along with warning window.

I believe it has something to do with FF. As I know AIM logs stored in HTML foormat also give z weird warning when opened. If you click them from their folder that is.

I'm using latest FF2. And hold on ill get the error msg.

    EDIT:

Are you using the official install of firefox, or the portable version?
