I have this annoying problem ever since I use Windows 7!
I switch between input languages with Ctrl+Shift. The problem is that it always takes nearly a second for the language to actually change (especially if I have moved to a new window and/or application I think), which is HIGHLY ANNOYING, as I usually press Ctrl+Shift and start typing immediately which either doesn't happen at all or messes the whole text up!
Especially in skype it is killing me! I always need to press and await successful switching...

Is there a way to speed it up!? What the f is it waiting for and why is this lag !?

I am not exactly sure what you are referring to. When I use Chinese, I switch to it, and then if I need to type english I just hit the shift bar and it swtiches.

This is exactly what I am referring to. In my case I use Shift+Ctrl to switch.
My problem is that it takes a few ms. to switch, which drives me insane, as I always need to wait before I start typing! Especially when typing in skype, it seems to take even longer...
