Just got win 8 with a new thinkpad t430

Any recommendation what to do to explore windows or anything? I book marked a few sites and downloaded google drive and that was about it. did the free trial office and Norton too... didn't uninstall anything or know what else to really do.

youtubed a few beginner tips which were cool.

    Anything else?

    I feel like a noob

Install Start8 ($5) or Classic Shell (free) if you want the start menu in Windows 8.

Lol. But if it came with 8 from factory, OA 3.0 is likely to not allow that. A downgrade would be in order then.

OP: I don't recommend Norton, but you're free to use what you like. A free AV program is typically efficient enough, but if you feel better protected from using a paid subscription AV service, then by all means, enjoy what Symantec has to offer (until your trial is up). :)
