Does the SZ series use the Synaptics touchpad? If not, will this driver work with whatever touchpad the SZ uses?

Oh, Sorry. I assumed it uses Synaptics, since all other major manufactures do  . Anyways I found out that it uses an ALPS touchpad instead (Sony and it’s non standard devices.... ).

Anyways, you can find the ALPS touchpad deriver under Vaio SZ downloads section : Direct Link.

I wonder if that driver supports/enables the scrolling mousepad feature. Hopefully an SZ user can comment on this for the OP.

The Alps touchpad on the Vaio SZ does have horizontal and vertical scrolling, but the driver must be installed first. I tested many different Alps drivers on my SZ and found that these two provided the most customizable settings. They are better than what Sony provides.
