    If there is only one account on a computer is it possible to have XP load directly upon booting instead of having to click on the name?

    It is if the account is not password-protected. Not sure how though if it doesn't do that already. I assume it would involve changing something in the registry.

    Maybe it does it automatically, I don't have the computer yet. I was just wondering.

    If you have only one user active and this user is not password protected, you won't see the welcome screen

    You don't need Tweak UI. Just look under Control Panel and user accounts. Be careful about not having a password as everyone automatically gains access to your files. If that's okay with you, then go for it. :)

    Start ---> Run ---> Control Userpasswords2

    Uncheck: user must enter password to logon to the operating system. Type your password (leave blank if there is none) and click apply, then ok.

    That is what TweakUI is actually doing, so if that's all you're getting the program for, you don't need it.

    You're good to go. No need for any other program or to disable your password. However, if others use your comp I recommend not doing this.

    If you password protect your notebook through bios you'll have the best of both worlds.
