    I badly need to update the maps on my Nuvi 200 but I'm a little wary of installing the software from the website for them to interface with it. Is it bloated and crappy, does it run at startup or mess anything up? Or is it a simple plugin that remains totally hidden an unused until needed?

    If it did run at startup, it would be very easy to stop it from doing so. However, this plugin is indeed hidden, and only used when needed.
