Has anyone used one? To my knowledge, they're relatively new and I'm skeptical especially since one that it did register for is down.

I know I should just get an external but it would be nice to free up a few gigs until I get some cash.

I used to have one, it was ok xcept that you have to upload data from your HDD to the internet HDD and uploading a few gigs takes a while :/
Also the data isn't really secure who knows who's capable of physically accessing it and checking for CC #'s and stuff, since some people would use it for that purpose :/

Do you remember which one you used?

I'll only be using it to host media so I don't really care if it's secure in that sense. As long as it doesn't all get deleted it's fine.

Sorry dont remember the name of it, it was about a few months ago, they only gave 1 Gb, nowadays you can get 5GB for free

Just try some out and see how good the upload/dl speeds are for ya.

I use a web base storage account to store files. It slow to upload. Slow to download. I only use it because I'm too fat and lazy to dig in my pocket for my 1gig thumb drive or get my 2.5" hard drive from my backpack and crawl under my desk to plug in the usb. They do have thier advantage, mostly if your only dealing in small files. Uploading even a 4 meg mp3 takes me several minutes or more. By comparison I can copy 1 gig to my thumb drive within that same time frame over USB 2.0. GL
