Internet Explorer 8 Problems

Need your advises for the IE8:

1. IE8 doesnt seem to erase the history completely, even using CCleaner it seems that the sites I visited are still there, anyone experience the same thing?

2. How do we change the search string in the top right of the explorer, mine currently looks like this:

http://www.google.com/search?=q=&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:id:&ie=&oe=

I would like to remove the sentence:

Code:

=&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:id:&ie=&oe=

Any help would be great.
