While looking at my Task Manager Processes tab, I have noticed extremely high RAM usage (~1,7GB) of Intel RST. Recently I have updated this software to version 11.5, previously I have been using 10.8. With previous version, RAM usage was never this high.

What are Your experiences with Intel RST 11.5 regarding the RAM usage?

Thank You for Your help guys (+rep added), after updating the RST to 11.6 RAM usage for the same process went down to ~20MB. I have noticed a strange thing though: there are 2 drives in my laptop: 1st is Intel X-25M SSD, 2nd is WD Scorpio Blue 1TB. The WD HDD uses Advanced Formating, meaning that the physical sector size is 4KB. Now, when I was installing this drive in my laptop, I am 100% sure that I have set logical sector size (or was it cluster size?) to 4KB when formatting it. For some reason, the Intel RST is showing the logical sector size on this drive as 512 Bytes. Any ideas why?

+ 1 REP thanks for posting this thread Marecki_clf, I was still on 9...... I just updated and mine. I have found this link 512Kb or 4KB in RST - ssd - Storage but have to admit that the answer is a bit beyond my scope.

I have noticed this in 11.5 as well but it seems to have gone away as others have mentioned above after upgrading to 11.6.
