I am installing Win XP Pro on a machine with no Operating System.

Any tips for getting a good Install at the Command prompt C:

    Then

    MS Office
    Ad-Aware
    AVG
Sprint / MS software for Sprint PPC-6700 mobile phone

Anything else good for a Fresh Hard Drive

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do a command line install? Just boot from the Windows CD (every BIOS has an option to boot from the CD) and install. There's no need to make things difficult.

Personally, I suggest Avast over AVG, and you may want to install Firefox.

I would also recommend 7zip ( http://www.zip.org/) for archive purposes.

Adobe Acrobat or FoxIt Reader are also requirements, since .PDFs are so prevalent.

If you don't already own MS Office, I would recommend the free OpenOffice ( http://www.openoffice.org/)

You may also want the Combined Community Codec Pack, or else the VideoLan Player ( http://www.videolan.org/) for video playback compatibility.
