I can't find a reliable guide that tells of the registry tweaks and proper disabling services that improve boot time of windows 7.

I have already disabled/removed many of the start up applications using ccleaner/msconfig.

If anyone could link me to the guide or give me tips of which to edit.

I remember tweaks such as faster shut down time that kills all apps quicker and what not.

black viper is an excellent site to study and figure out which services you want to disable..I suggest grabbing a beer or your favorite drink and taking your time going through the services list as each one has a description of what it does

    Black Viper's Web Site

Sysinternals makes a tool called autoruns that will give you a deep look into just about "everything" that starting up with your system...checkout some of the other tools they have on the site as they have been in the "windows" business for a very long time and are very respected

    Autoruns for Windows

registry tweaks I usually do on a one to one or a few at a time basis to make sure I'm not only messing the system up but seeing the affects of the tweaks, I use bing.com and google.com to search for those....

A clean Windows install will do much more for you than disabling services. With some fresh Vista my boot times went from 1:50 to 45 seconds. Then I messed with the startup & services .

Tweakhound is another decent site for this stuff.

Windows 7 is pretty well optimized as it is. If you really care for boot times, get a SSD and check out the Windows subforum for boot times.
