You can boost the sound by 200%
    1. Right click on "speak icon" on the right corner of the display
    2. Click "Playback devices"
    3. Under Playback Tab, click "Speaker -HD Audio Device" and then click "Properties"
4.Under Enhancements Tab, check on "Loudness Equalization", then click OK

The only con is there is more distortion at max volume. At 50-75% volume works fine
This option works great for headphones and external speakers too.

Contact me for a picture if your still confused.

Be careful using this with your notebook speakers. A touch too loud and you'll blow them. Believe me, it doesn't take much. But I can say that DOES work. I use it from time to time.

I feel that most users here would probably know this. But, for those that don't, it could be useful.

This really just normalizes the output to a level a few dB below the max speaker volume. If you're playing a youtube video that's too quiet, it'll help a lot. But if something has a full volume output already, say a mainstream CD/mp3, it might make it quieter.
