I use CDex to rip my CDs, I am currently going through all my CDs at the moment ripping them to FLAC. I use Vista Home Premium and there are a couple of things that glare out at me when using CDex. First is the fonts, horrible MS Shell Dlg is used throughout the program. Second is the horrible CDex icon and visual and language inconsistencies throughout the program. Now the things I have just listed are not the fault of the creator of the program who has done a wonderful job. The program just hasn't been updated for a while and I think lacks any kind of development team to move it on forward. I'm looking at improving the program myself as the source code has been provided with the aim to make it as fully Vista compatiable as possible. This means an overhaul of the visual appearance, language and some backend work. I'd like to get an idea of how many of you would be interested in such an idea. Thanks.

Whatever you do, make sure to work with the project and submit your changes back into it. Get on the mailing lists and discuss/propose what you want to do, and then of course send them the patches. Forking any project is a bad thing.
