    Hi...

Would you be able to tell me how to import my Gmail contacts into WLM2011? I have tried to export contacts from Gmail as a CSV file. However, when I try to import it into WLM2011, it does nothing.

I would hate to have to enter each contact info one by one. Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I ended up exporting Gmail's contacts to Windows Live Mail and then exporting from there. It appears that WLM 2011 can read the contacts file exported from Windows Live Mail (Hotmail) and not from Gmail unless I am missing something here.

-- Click Contacts along the side of any Gmail page.
-- From the More actions drop-down menu, select Export....

-- To transfer contacts to Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or various other apps, use the Outlook CSV format.

-- In the lower-left corner of the Windows Live Mail window, click Contacts.

-- On the Home tab, click Import, and then click the type of address book that you want to import.

A mapping dialog will appear and can adjust the mapping of the CSV contacts to suit your needs.

Thanks. I did try that and for some reason it did not work. Subsequently, I exported the Gmail Contacts file to Windows Live (Hotmail). I then exported the same file from within Hotmail and the resultant output file was easily read by WLM 2011. It's just that a direct export from Gmail (by the process you have linked above) to WLM 2011 did not work.
