When i first used my V6000 laptop, i had already an user account on it called Administrator. today i was so stupid that i started playing with them, i wanted to create another user account that would load faster. i was surprised that it said i needed an administrator account. the next day i started the pc, then.... MY ORIGINAL ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT WAS LOST! NOW I USE THIS STUPID "FAST" ACCOUNT, ALL MY FILES ARE LOST, EVERYTHING IS ****ED UP :(

is there any way to fix this? or get my ORIGINAL account back?

Try booting to safe mode and assigning admin rights, or see if the admin account is just hidden. I've never seen it actually allow you to delete the admin account if it's the only account with those rights. Are you sure you didn't assign rights to another account?

Are you talking about the Windows accounts? How was it "lost"? Try system restore.

To start in Safe Mode hold F8 right after the BIOS boots up - before the XP loading screen appears.

Why did you create an entirely new account? Why didn't you just rename the admin account?

Who makes your computer? Tell me and I will find! But looks like if you press F8 when booting might take you to safe mode?

Ok guys, i have started the PC in safe mode. (F8, thanks)

I saw 2 accounts, my ORIGINAL account that i want to restore, and my "Fast" account. I tried to delete the "Fast" account, but it says i cant delete administrator account, but i already have Administrator named account with administrator rights. How can i get my original account restored and delete the fast account? :(

F8 is the key you press after you turn on the power, before Windows (same as others have said) press it several times. This should get you in safe mode, and you can change things. If this does not work tommorow around 5:00 I will check out MFG web site!

I did do searches on Google!

Ok, try giving your original account administrator rights and then deleting the new account. From what I've seen in the past, it should only disallow the deletion if it's the only administrator account. If you have another, it should be deletable.

If it doesn't work for some reason, try logging out and into the old account, and taking away the new account's admin rights.

My original account already has administrator rights, but as i cant see it (only in safe mode) its also that i cant delete it! even if i log into my original accoutn in safe mode but it doesent allow me to, you cant delete administrators, right? is there any way that i can delete it somehow like "behind" windows? (like changing the registery edit or something) PS. How can i delete my "Fast" account? (it has admin rights)

Anyone? Ok heres a better ( i hope) explanation.

When i first had this computer, it already had an user account WITH administrator rights, named Administrator. Yesterday i wanted to create an "Fast" account, that would load faster than my original one (for gaming)

I started making the "Fast" account, i wanted him to be "limited" in rights, but i couldnt. The "limited" rights ball was grey (i cant click)

    So i made it.

Then another day i started my PC, i didnt want at first go to my original account, but i couldnt! Because there was no! There was only the "Fast" account!!

The "Fast" account had TOO administrator rights, so i gueess i cant delete the "Fast" account, or...?

So what do i want to do:

    1. Get my ORIGINAL Administrator account visible
    2. Delete my "Fast" account.

Oh god please help me! Im really really ****ed up!!!!!!!

There's a possible registry fix here

If that doesn't work, maybe this will:
Make another administrator account, which you want to be hidden. Then remove administrator rights to all other accounts. If this works, I'm not sure if you'll be able to add them back later. It depends on if the first account is determined by creation time or admin granting time.

If neither of those work, well... migrate any files and settings to another account. Make backups, migrating settings can be tricky.

Should i make DWORD in the users thingie and make that the fast account doesent show?

How can i delete that account?

Are you certain you wish to delete it? Isn't this what you were after originally--an original account and a fast account?

If you want to delete the other, log in as the original ADMIN account, the go to control panel > users, and double click the FAST ACCOUNT and delete it in the settings

ok. i think i've been through this before. Boot in Safe Mode, create an admin account through cmd (go to start, run, type "cmd")

add yourself as admin and transfer all the file you need.

Here's how you add an admin account through CMD:

    Hope that helps,

    Good luck

PS: Sorry for late response. Keep this for future reference...
