    If I reinstall vista will I lose MS office?

    If I do a clean reinstall of windows vista on my laptop will I still ba able to use my the same microsoft office disc to reinstall or will I lose the licence because MS will think I'm trying to install on two pcs?

    You shouldn't have any problems because the various hardware specs that MS uses to identify a system as "same" or "different" will not be changed; thus, MS should see your system as "same" not as a new, second system.

    In the event you do have a problem, however, you should be able to straighten it out without too much hassle by calling up the MS activation line or customer service.

    I'm sorry, my posts haven't been the clearest. I haven't had much sleep the last few days (thesis deadline).

    I meant could I use the same MS office disc to install on Windows 7, on a different partition on the same laptop. It says I can install on 3 pcs on the back of the MS office box. Will this count as the same pc or will it use up one of the licences?

    It'll count as the same PC. You can install MS Office on 2 more PCs at the same time if you want.
