The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hey everyone,
    Does anybody here use irc? if so, what irc client do you use and why? personally, i like SolarIRC the best its simple to use and effective.

    I use IRC sometimes. In windows i use mIRC because thats what i started out with and never changed. In linux i use XChat for the same reason i use mIRC!

    IceChat. Its nice and small, easy to use, and it works.

    mIRC + Nexgen Acidmax, and if anyone knows how to disable those annoying notice popups in the lower right hand corner, do tell. Why they had to implement such a useless and annoying feature is beyond me.
